AMPAC Modular Wastewater Treatment Plant (The AMPAC)

The AMPAC is a compact, configurable, modular domestic wastewater treatment plant. Because of its modular design the AMPAC plants can treat the effluent generated by between 50 and 500 people.

Although modular, each AMPAC design and installation is site specific in accordance with individual customer requirements. Because of its modular and configurable design it can integrate into the most sensitive and difficult locations.

AMPAC plants are manufactured off site in UV-resistant GRP glass fibre modules. Plants are assembled on site, installed below or above ground and commissioned quickly and easily. The AMPAC eliminates the need for large civil construction works and on site labour. Smaller AMPACS do not require on site assembly as they are constructed off site and delivered as built units for quick and easy installation and commissioning.

Every AMPAC is designed to treat domestic wastewater to a standard that enables final discharge effluent to meet the requirements of the Department of Water Affairs (DWA) for release back into the environment (green drop status). Approved technologies are used in the AMPAC design to enable a wastewater treatment and management process that complies with these requirements.
